Greg “Stryke” Chin is a hard working and passionate producer and DJ. Greg’s approach to music has been set at the age of four when being taught classical piano and after moving to Miami his love for Beethoven and Chopin mixed up with the early electronic alternative scene. He quickly learned the principles of additive synthesis and started writing electronic songs. He got addicted by spinning and producing his own sounds in the same way and still there’s no preference for one side of the electronic way of life. His daily schedule is pretty stuffed: While traveling around the globe he’s always at the screen developing new stuff. “Amazon” at Circle Music, his latest contributions to Plastic City (“Imagination of the shape”) and releases at Ovum (Josh Wink) or Mute went straight to the top of numerous playlists and reviews. Stryke has never been stuck to a particular style of music - hates the barrier game. "I see it all as music. Every genre has music which is good and bad. That's it. I hate the fact that some people raise an eyebrow when I release a house record when perhaps they know me for techno. All that should matter is whether something is good or bad. Period." Plastic City proudly presents his latest labours of love “The Narrowest of Paths” – a proof of extraordinary talent and consequence. It’s the most emotional piece you have ever heard and of course a cutting-edge production incorporating a great variety of styles and influences. This is more than a bunch of tracks – it’s a journey or more a soundtrack for the life on the road. Listen – communicate – understand! Available Formats: CD, LP, mp3.
Terry Lee Brown Junior - Softpack
Terry Lee Brown Junior presents his long awaited fifth album "Softpack" at Plastic City. As one of the main characters of Plastic City’s catalogue he consistently followed his path of creating and developing his unique, extraordinary style. Highly addictive grooves and elements of house, techno, jazz, downtempo and even breakbeat melt together and thus you can never expect a certain category of sound – but there’s an important ingredient for all of his works: Emotion! From early beginnings until the present Terry’s musical ideas had great impact on what we now call “techhouse”. As a pioneer and central player of the techhouse scene he succeeded in getting and remaining one of the most requested producers and DJs worldwide. Especially in the U.S.A. and Great Britain he established himself as archetype for nearly every following production or name in this division. After long nights at the studio and countless appearances at the most sought-after locations of the planet he appears with state-of-the-art productions which are more than beats, bass, groove and synths: According to his multi-faceted perspective and style he is just doing the music as he feels when being at the studio. You cannot judge this exceptional piece of music as aiming at a certain use. All tracks are connected to each other and are best suited for dancefloor use – nevertheless it’s pure listening pleasure you can enjoy nearly anywhere you are. J. Axel - Deepness Is Served
With “Deepness Is Served” Jonathan Axelsson aka J. Axel delivers his first long player on Plastic City. The eleven tracks on the album are a prefect display of soulful and slick productions ranging between house music and beautiful downbeat affairs. A stunning journey through deep sound-scapes, tight & precise drums and unique arrangements. “You Give me Love” features vocals by Astrid Suryanto and a impressive sax-solo by Alex Van Heerden, it perfectly displays the mood of the album – true late night bar / dance vibes with jazzy rhodes, smooth bass-lines on top of sexy drums.“Deepness Is Served” is based on a super dope & laid back beat with sweet melodies and minor chords: cocktail joint blues. Just like the “Jazz On The 22nd Floor” down-tempo big city vibes.“This Time”, “Hiding” & “In A Distant Bar” are slightly up tempo house music tracks reminiscent of the cool Naked Music releases. Atmospheric, soulful and absolutely dance floor compatible. “It’s Right Here” & “Crowns On the Tower sound as if J. Axel was the unknown twin brother of the lounging Glenn Underground. Synthesizer layers, keen solos – clavinet style and organic. “Skywatcher” contains Hawaii style acoustic guitar chords underneath warm strings for truly intimate moments morph into a beautiful song structure with poetic qualities… this is beyond lounge music. “Magic Of Dusk” the most soul-esque tune on the album.. broken beats, sax licks, e-piano deepness, slick vocals. “Loveletters” is the most ambient song on the album. Available Format: mp3.

Lukas Greenberg - Rhode´ Stories
Nikolas Jakoby a.k.a. Lukas Greenberg definitely is no newcomer in the electronic music scene. He started his career in the early 90ies as a hip hop dj and played at famous venues like the tresor, 90Grad and KitCat. Quite a lot residencies and years of dance floor experience brought him to own productions which he started on an Atari Mega 2. He founded his label “Synphon Records” and received remix requests from Peter Schilling amongst others. It’s easy to see that after more than ten years in the business his musical background is based on a broad variety of influences and styles – so is his music and what else than Plastic City could be the perfect platform for the height of his creativity. Last year he had his first appearance at “Play Plastic City” and his debut EP “Behind Doors” earlier this year drew attention to this fantastic musician, producer and DJ. The “Rhode Stories” again verify his sense for high quality listening stuff: He rolls out his musical range while connecting all tracks like writing a book. He produced several introductions for the “chapters” and after listening the whole album one is convinced about a theory behind the compilation of the songs. He rides on a wave of downbeat, electro, house, easy listening and some more ingredients which make you feel comfortable about listening to the “Stories” again and again. This is an outstanding collection of tracks – influenced by people, life and musical history and hits bulls eye aiming at the Plastic City philosophy. Enjoy the warm and bright atmosphere - high quality listening pleasure! Available Formats: CD, 2LP, mp3.

Frankman - Straight Between The Ears
Since the early 90ies it is impossible to imagine Leipzig’s House-scene without Frankman, once born as Andreas Greiner. Being influenced by the Hip-Hop of the 80ies and the arising Techno- and House-movement he soon developed his own and unmistakable style, which can still be recognized in his recent sets and productions. A style which is one or even the reason why he was significantly involved in the development of the presently popular Leipzig’s Deep-House-style. Since 2001 joint productions with various colleagues became more frequent. Co-operations with de Bear (Dessous Rec.) and Matthias Tanzman (Moon Harbour) followed. In 2002 his first longplayer “different divides” on “Draft Recordings” came out. In 2003 for Frankman it was time for some changes: With „Auris Rec.“ a new Deep-House label was thrown on the market. Since, publications of for example Lars Behrenroth, Metrosoul and Parov Stelar followed. Of course Frankman often takes care of the matter himself -in form of remixes, for example of “Deepthoughts” and “Smooth Society”, or in form of complete 12”s. In the view of his work’s quality, it is not a surprise that Frankman’s productions can be found on internationally renowned singles/records, such as Steve Bug’s "The Flow“ (Cocoon 2002) and Harley & Muscle’s "Play Deep House“ (Soulstar 2006). Available Format: mp3.
Pete Gust - Nightlife
Growing up in a small town in Sweden, Pete Gust aka Peter Gustafsson experienced that Deephouse wasn't exactly easy to come by. This was in a time when the internet wasn't nearly as evolved as it is today, but still the fever caught him after being introduced to labels such as Naked Music, SVEK and Guidance Recordings by the legendary Swedish house-DJ, Mike Olson. Possessed by a great love for the harmonies and moods presented to him he started producing for real. This lead to a number of releases on Night-Lights Recordings. Despite his quite few releases, he quickly got the attention he deserved. Along with alot of great feedback from DJ´s and producers. Peter Gustafsson is one in a row of many talented and promising producers coming out of Sweden at the moment. With incredible atmospheres and sophisticated beats, he brings you fresh forward thinking house and whether it be a pumping clubtrack or a jazzy laidback loungegroove you can always count on him to stay with one foot in the deep. Over the years Peter has evolved and developed a mature style and sound that now is to be enjoyed on Plastic City. Available Format: mp3.
Stryke - Spark and Fire
It’s maybe the most emotional piece you have ever heard and of course a cutting-edge production incorporating a great variety of styles and influences. This is more than a bunch of tracks – it’s a journey or more a soundtrack for the life on the road. Greg Stryke is considered to be one of the top DJs around today. His globetrotting schedule and growing legions of fans is proof positive of his ability to command dancefloors worldwide. His dexterity is proven time and time again. His live shows, while rare, are an even bigger treat. He's had Billboard chart success with his Ad Finem project and as a remixer. His guest vocal on the track "Time" with Murk, went #1 in the US in 2004. He's collaborated with artists such as Murk, Christian Smith, John Beltran, Santos, & Alex Flatner, to name a few. With releases on labels such as Ovum, Plastic City, Hooj Choons, Monoid, Circle, Guidance, Platform, Twisted, & many others, there seems to be no end in sight for this bright star. Over the years, his residencies have included nights at clubs such as the legendary Edge, Warsaw, Maze, & Nocturnal. Available Format: mp3.
Andrew Grant - Blue Vista
Hailing from the Washington DC area, Andrew Grant's DJ history dates back to 1988 when he was spinning hip-hop at house parties and school dances. But, his musical tastes turned to electronica after his first trip to NYC’s Twilo in the mid 90s. Andrew first visit to Europe was in 2000 playing in Dublin on New Years Eve and then in Paris. He stayed in Europe and in 2001, purchased a one-way ticket from England to the White Isle. He came to Ibiza with a passion to play top venues. Soon after he was invited to play Thursday morning afterhours @ DC10. After just two sets he was invited to play a main 3-5 hour slot at Circoloco after Cirillo, his mentor. Combined with his aggressive mixing and ability to layer sounds, he keeps his sound perpetually fresh, deep and driving. His sets are packed with sinister beats, lonely echoes from the use of his third deck, and perfect bridges between tracks. And when needed he has an uncanny ability to layer bass for extra punch. Along with playing ARC (Vinyl) in NYC and at Crobar @ WMC 2004 along Timo Maas, he frequently plays at Goa in Rome and at Tribehouse in Germany. He has played with Fatboy Slim, Sander K, Tania Vulcano, Behrouz, Dan Ghenacia, Sven Vath, Craig Richards, Mr. C, Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos and Bill Patrick, among many others. Like the last years, Andrew Grant is the resindent DJ of the Circoloco Ibiza also in the season 2008. Available Format: mp3.
J. Axel - Love Letters
The first single from J. Axel on Plastic City, one of Sweden's top house producers, is called "Love Letters". The deep original mix, taken from his current album ”Deepness is Served”, is a gem of a track: Deep piano chords, handcrafted and keen beats underneath the sensual and moody vocals of Astrid Suryanto. This tune can easily be compared to productions of Osunlade, Blaze, Masters At Work or DJ Spinna…it’s fresh and has a lot of soul. Swedish musician Henrik B is on the remix due. Usually known for more techno orientated productions on labels like Zync, Primate or his own label Illgorhythm, he reworks the track into a cheeky tech house way with pumping and hypnotic patterns and nicely sliced vocal samples. Stockholm local Joel Mull teams up with producer legend Pär Grindvink for the second remix of the track "Love Letters". The result is an incredible EP, that will cause major damages to the world’s house clubs, taking the original vibe into a more floor-orientated and forward direction with thrilling pads & chords and tight beats but still deep & sexy – one could call it “the Stockholm school of electronic - 4 to the floor – soul”. Available Format: mp3.
